Kids Week at the Intrepid Museum
Join us for Kids Week, where children of all ages can explore the world of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) through a range of thrilling activities! Explore engaging displays and exhibits, witness captivating live animal shows, participate in hands-on workshops, enjoy performances by special guests and experience interactive demonstrations designed to educate and ignite curiosity.
The SETI Institute will be there February 14-16! Get a taste of how we really search for aliens in the Universe. Stop by for giveaways and activities, like designing your own alien and creating beautiful art as you learn about the fascinating interior of our star: The Sun.

Monday, 1:30 pm: Join Astronomer Simon Steel for a reading from his new children’s book: Dish 39: A Story of Discovery, and learn how astronomers use amazing telescopes to search for life in the Universe.
Monday, 3:30 pm: Secrets of the Sun - We rely on the Sun every single day, but there are still many things that we don’t know about it. Join Sun scientist Becca Robinson to learn about the Sun’s crazy atmosphere, gigantic explosions and how the Sun affects our life on Earth in more ways than you think!
